Ciaphas Cain series by Sandy Mitchell - The funniest and most impactful of the Warhammer 40k novels. Cain is the king of imposter syndrome and we love him for it. Grimdark comedy.
Tannhauser series by Various Authors - Alternate history fantasy WWI books based off a board game. They are silly. Do you want more?
Whitechapel Gods by S.M. Peters - Confusing but compelling grimdark steampunk. Has some super messed up worldbuilding if you like that. Protagonists try to kill god!
Abhorsen series by Garth Nix - Follows a family and their destiny as the abhorsen, one who helps the dead cross over to death. Also demons. Also a wall with tech on one side and magic on the other. Exceptional series 10/10
The Godwhale by T.J. Bass - Some guys live on a giant biomechanical whale in the future. Super weird hard scifi.
